1. recipe: Monkey bread with creme Anglaise Bourbon – Bridal Shower Brunch Menu
In fact, I’ve never heard of the dish strangely titled monkey bread until I started writing a few years back the food. What does this beautiful, mysterious pile of dough that people eat for breakfast? It ran rampant among bloggers, and even appeared on the site “food porn” every day. Needless to say, is already in the list of “must-make” for some time.
It did not really blow up the radar, however, until just a few weeks ago. I was celebrating my girlfriend’s single with a few favorite Atlanta restaurant too-cool-for-school. We’ve already overindulged in one of the courses too much food, but our waiter gently pushing us to order dessert sampler platter. Never one to say no to sweets, I give up against my better judgment (abdomen).
I can not tell you what else is in that giant tray of desserts. This is the monkey bread that takes all return to the gold. It was smooth and creamy, very bright I think it might just go up and fly. The only thing that remains down is the delicious, creamy peach glaze holding it together. We stopped and grabbed on to precious dough, many are disappointed us, not even a tiny crumb left on the plate. So much for being too full for dessert …
I fell hard for monkey bread that night; I’ve waited patiently for the right time to create it. December is finally here, I think the holiday is the perfect time to roll out. And because peaches are not available this time of year, I went with bourbon creme anglaise sauce. Why? Because bourbon is always in season.
2. cinnamon cream cheese Breakfast Bar – Bridal Shower Brunch Menu
After all the fun and games were over (and my team won!), You would think Sunday morning will be an afterthought. Not under the supervision of my mother. Even in her hostessing fatigue, he arranged for a Sunday breakfast right. She had a friend give a sausage and egg breakfast bar Breakfast Casserole and cream cheese. Together with a large pot of coffee and a heaping bowl of fruit, there are more than enough to relieve another team battle wounds (and drunk).
I was immediately taken by the new bar-to-my cream cheese. They are like portable cheese danishes, but better. As we all rushed and bustled to finish packing and get out the door, I could not refrain from eating past the sideboard grabbed another … and another.
I knew I had found the recipe, because these tasty bites will be perfect for Christmas morning breakfast. I started with a basic recipe found online, and then I created a divine charge to add a little cinnamon delicious flair – super easy, a bit rubbish, but so tasty. I’m not usually one to use any storage cans, but what a loss every now in it? Especially when you have to make a Christmas dinner!
3. lemons Brioche French Toast & Raspberry – Bridal Shower Brunch Menu
It is so very simple. Only sliced bread any rich, eggy, such as brioche or challah. Refined grain, the better. In other words, solid, small crumbed bread is better than a rustic bread that is steep. (The best of these has ever turned out was when I use a dense, sweet Portuguese bread from Whole Foods.)
Then slice of bread, layer in the dish and sprinkle fresh lemon zest over the bread. Pour almost-sweet pudding eggs and low-fat milk into the plate, and then can be refrigerated up to 24 hours. After you bake, glaze recipe calls for thick, tangy lemon lemon juice and powdered sugar, which soaks into French toast and make up for the lack of sweetness in the pudding.
This is a simple, direct, and just plain delicious. It is full of lemon goodness, and reheats beautifully, too.
